Molds Can Survive Harsh Conditions

Did you know that some molds can survive even in harsh conditions like those in the Antarctic? In fact, many molds can withstand refrigeration and chilly temperatures. The spores wait, dormant, until conditions are right to begin growing again. Spring weather often brings unpleasant surprises to homeowners, when mold appears on brickwork, patios, outdoor furniture and more.

One way to help prevent unpleasant surprises in the spring is to treat your outdoor surfaces with MoldOff in the fall. Unlike bleach products, MoldOff destroys mold at the roots. MoldOff also acts like a barrier and helps prevent mold from growing back. Of course, mold spores are everywhere outdoors, so it is impossible to kill them all, but you can tackle the places you know mold like to grow in your outdoor areas.

If you store your patio furniture (cushions, umbrellas, etc.) for the winter months, it is a good idea to treat them with MoldOff before putting them away. Canvas and cloth are particularly tasty items to mold. If you store the items some place that has even a hint of warmth, you’ll be in for an unpleasant surprise in the spring.

Be proactive and destroy mold before it destroys your outdoor getaway spot.
